This site is dedicated to providing an independent look at security issues relating to Southeast Asia. It was established on 13 November 2006 by co-founders, Steven L. Rundle and Steve Ball. Our background as Southeast Asian Foreign Area Officers for the U.S. Army over the last 20 years instilled not only a high level of continuing interest in the region but also a deep-seated desire to stay engaged and productive, hopefully creating something of value in the process.
