Vision

Currently, the Southeast Asia Security Information Resource is a hobby, but it is our intent to grow it into an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and informational resources, reporting, and analysis relating to security issues in Southeast Asia. Our objective is reach out to the community of interest and find a wide variety of contributors who will, over time, create a tool that will be useful to researchers, non-government organizations, commercial businesses, academics, educators, policy makers, and individuals who share an interest in this important and diverse region of the world. We enter into this endeavor with no external funding but will pursue grant funding from a variety of sources once we have had the site up and operating for a period of time.  Currently, our status as a corporation in the state of Virginia is being drafted. We expect to get our official designation as a non-profit organization, able to accept tax deductible grants and donations, not later than June 2007. We look forward to the community's involvement and participation in both writing for the site, as well in providing support for its development, evolution, and growth.
